Kim LeRoy Boston

Kim LeRoy Boston Kim LeRoy Boston, of Hanover, Kan., departed this life, surrounded by his loved ones, on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., at the age of 63.

Kim was born on June 24,1958, in Washington, Kan., to Robert and Marvel (Leidig) Boston. He was a 1976 graduate of Washington High School and enjoyed working on his family farm.

Kim married his high school sweetheart, Georgia Knudsen, on June 16, 1979, at the Morrowville Church of Christ. They were married 42 years. They were blessed with two sons, Caleb and Luke, and a granddaughter, Gracelyn Boston.

In 1990, Kim began working for Kansas Power and Light. He transferred to Kansas Gas Service as a journeyman gasman.

He was an active and dedicated member of Faith Connection Covenant Church in Washington, Kan., and often volunteered with children’s church.

Kim is survived by his mother, Marvel (Leidig) Boston, Manhattan, Kan.; wife, Georgia (Knudsen) Boston, Hanover, Kan.; children, Caleb (Emily) Boston and Luke (Sarah) Boston, both of Washington, Kan.; sister, Debbie (Dave) Nutsch, Washington, Kan.; granddaughter, Gracelyn Boston; and nephews.

Kim is preceded in death by his father, Robert Boston of Washington, Kan., and sister, Tammie (Boston) Fournier of Hanover, Kan.

Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Faith Connection Covenant Church, 1803 Wilson Drive, in Washington, KS; all are welcome. A private burial with the family will follow the visitation at the Washington City Cemetery.

The family invites everyone to join them for a meal from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the Morrowville Church of Christ, 111 Elm Street, Morrowville, KS, followed by a celebration of life service beginning at 7 p.m.
