Pamela K. Moxley

Pamela K. Moxley Pamela K. (Hoke) Moxley, age 57, went to heaven on October 27, 2019, after a 12 year battle with cancer. Pam’s mantra was “Never give up” and she was a warrior until the very end.

Pam was born on April 25, 1962, to Connie K. (Reinhart) Hoke and Gail Hoke in Manhattan, KS. She graduated from Manhattan High School in 1980 and the Manhattan Area Technical College.

Pam was preceded in death by her mom, husband Johnnie Moxley, and many family members who are in heaven to love her.

Pam is survived by her father Gail Hoke (Sue) of Sun City, AZ; sister Debbie Townsend (Scott) and nephew Luke Townsend of Manhattan, sister Jacque Hoke of Gainesville, VA, and brother Joey Hoke of Junction City, KS.

She is also survived by sister-in-law’s Carol Johnson (Don) and Margie Grothues, and brother-in-law, Paul Sanderford, all of Texas. Many extended family members including step-brothers, step-children, step-grandchildren, step-nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends from Texas, Manhattan, and around the country.

Pam was a good friend, a traveler and a dog lover. Pam was a merchandizer which allowed her to enjoy traveling. She lived in Bangkok, Thailand for several years, as well as, many parts of the U.S. She spent the past 10 years of her life in Corpus Christi and loved the beach. Pam and Johnny both loved to play golf and they attended the U.S. Open practice session on several occasions. Pam was also able to go to Hawaii with a friend a few months before her death.

Her family would like to thank everyone at the Good Shepherd Hospice House who cared for Pam and provided support for her family during her time there.

To honor Pam’s wishes we will have a celebration of her life at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home on Friday, November 1st, from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Pam’s ashes, along with Sadie’s ashes (her dog), will be scattered by her family on a date yet to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, Pam has asked that a dog be adopted from a no-kill shelter or that contributions be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice House. Contributions may be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66502.
