Patricia Duggan

Patricia Duggan Patricia Duggan, age 83, of Manhattan, died July 17, 2019, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas.

She was born March 5, 1936, and was adopted by Elmer and Pauline (Lukins) Whitham.

Patricia graduated from Madison High School in 1954, and then earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Newman School of Nursing in Emporia, KS, in 1957.

On May 21, 1960, at Assumption Church in Reading, Kansas, she was married to Andrew Patrick “Pat” Duggan.

Patricia worked as a Registered Nurse at the Newman Hospital in Emporia and at Memorial Hospital in Manhattan.

She was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church.

Patricia enjoyed watching sports and game shows on TV and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all she was devoted to her family.

Survivors include her husband of Manhattan; four children: Diane Stumpf of Auburn, KS, Andrew Patrick Duggan, Jr., of Manhattan, James Joseph Duggan of Manhattan, and Ronald Francis Duggan of Shawnee, KS, and their spouses; two siblings: Milton Tyler of Big Run, PA, and Colleen Goodloe of El Paso, TX; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Patricia was preceded in death by three siblings: James Benz, Norma Bishop and Angie Lane.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 23rd, at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church with Father Kerry Ninemire as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Fort Riley.

A Parish Vigil will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, July 22nd, at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends following the Vigil until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
