Joseph "Joe" Riniker

Joseph Joseph (Joe) Riniker, 87, of Manhattan, passed away March 26, 2019. Joe was born November 5, 1931 in Manhattan Kansas, son of Sam and Frankie Riniker.

Joe graduated Riley County Rural High School (49'), Honorably Discharged from the US Navy (54') as an Engineman Second Class and volunteer services as a Reserve Police Officer, Riley County Police Department (20 years), The American Legion and 40 & 8 Veterans Organization where he was the Grand Chef of Kansas (99').

Joe retired from Memorial Hospital as Director of Safety and Plant Services (91').

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ramona (Burgman) Riniker; daughter: Rhonda Riniker and partner Mark Marion; son: Alan Riniker and wife Vickie; son: Brian Riniker and wife Judy; grandchildren: Ashley Riniker, Joe Blenn, James Blenn, Jacob Blenn; Great Grandchildren: Athena Blenn and Hunter Blenn; sister: Anna Marie Gates. He was preceded in death by his son (infant) William; siblings: Robert, Louis, Samuel, Leo, Mary (Nudson), Rose (Russell) and Mae (Riniker).

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday April 1, 2019 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan Kansas with Rev. Kevin Larson officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunrise Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 31 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Legion Post 17, the 40 & 8 Nurse Training Trust Fund or Homecare & Hospice of Manhattan in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
