Linda R. Lewellen LINDA LEWELLEN

Linda Ruth Lewellen (Kirchner), age 74, of Ogden, died February 26, 2019, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House.

She was born in Laurel, Maryland on March 31, 1944. She lived in the Kansas communities of Troy, Wichita, and Manhattan.

She was married to Larry Lewellen on October 1, 1963.

Linda worked in food preparation services at the Derby Food Center at Kansas State University for 25 years.

She enjoyed participation in VFW auxiliaries. She was a member of the Ogden Bible Church. She attended the Riley County Seniors Center. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, and trying new tea or coffee flavors and blends. Some of her favorite memories were travels to Germany when husband Larry was stationed there.

She and Larry were the parents of two children, Julie and Glenn. Her husband Larry preceded her in death in 2012.

She is survived by her daughter Julie (David) Porter, her son Glenn Lewellen, and her sister Loveta (Tom) Cain and many nieces, nephews, a great niece, many cousins, step grandchildren, and a great grandson.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Ogden Bible Church. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 6th, at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Fort Riley.
