Bernice M. Fulton

Bernice  M. Fulton Bernice M. Fulton, age 99, of Manhattan, died Sunday February 3, 2019, at the Via Christi Village in Manhattan.

She was born on March 6, 1919, in Council Grove, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Alta (Brockelman) Borkert.

Bernice was untied in marriage to Foster Fulton on June 29, 1941 in Fulton, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1963.

She worked for Farm Bureau in Manhattan for Many years until she retired. Bernice was a longtime member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, where she served as a Deacon. She also was a 50 year plus member of the Order of the Eastern Star # 209.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Bernietta Williams, Ollie Borkert, Herman Borkert, Floyd Borkert, and Lura Jane Borkert.

She is survived by her sister, Beulah McPhail of Manhattan. Also her many nieces and nephews and many friends.

The family will greet friends during a visitation from 9:00 a.m until 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home in Manhattan.

Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 9, 2018 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the services in the Sunset Cemetery in Manhattan.

The family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Bernice to the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Contributions may be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
