Constance "Connie" L. Carter

Constance Constance L. “Connie” Carter, age 66, of St. George, Kansas, died Wednesday December 12, 2018 at her home.

She was born on March 6, 1952, in Manhattan, the daughter of William and Patricia (Noll) Heptig. She grew up in the Flush area and graduated high school with the class of 1970.

Connie spent the majority of her life as a caregiver, with her last job being at Homestead Assisted Living Center in Manhattan. Connie's true passion in life was taking care of others and certainly before taking care of herself. She had quite the big heart!

Connie was a loving and caring mother for her children: Rodney, Trisha, and Traci. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and always enjoyed being with them as often as she could.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Kelly, and her son Rodney.

Connie is survived by her children: Traci Lewis (Aaron), of Manhattan, and Trisha Capps (Justin), of Olathe; her grandchildren: Hana, Lila, and Teagan; her siblings: Joe Heptig, of Winfield, Kansas, Tim Heptig, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Bruce Heptig, of Topeka, and Lora Siegle, of Council Grove.

The family will greet friends during a visitation from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home in Manhattan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday December 17, 2018 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel in Manhattan. Private interment will be held at a later date in the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Connie Carter Memorial Fund. Contributions may be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
