Dana B. Dodderidge

Dana B. Dodderidge Dana B. Dodderidge passed away Tuesday December 11, 2018. He was born May 5, 1942 in Manhattan, KS to Philip and Dorothy Knittle Dodderidge of White City, KS.

He was raised in the White City community and graduated from White City High School. He then attended and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also graduated from the University Of Kansas Law School and was proud to have been a member of the KU Marching Band.

His career after college began with the Kansas Highway Commission in Topeka as a staff attorney. He then had a change of career and moved to Manhattan where he worked for 14 years as the Trust Officer at the First National Bank. He embraced the Manhattan community and was a member of the KSU Alumni Association. He was an active member of the Manhattan Rotary Club, serving several terms as treasurer. He was honored as Rotarian of the Year in 2000-2001.

Dana was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served as a long time church treasurer and was also treasurer for the church foundation.

He enjoyed music and played trombone in high school and college bands. He also played the trumpet in the Manhattan Municipal band for 10 years.

Dana is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol, his son Philip and his wife Elizabeth and their children, Margaret, Nathaniel, and Henry, and his son Daniel and his wife Vontwill and their children, Jacob and Peyton.

The family will greet friends during a visitation at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home in Manhattan, on Friday, December 14, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

Funeral Services will take place Saturday, December 15, at the First United Methodist Church, 612 Poyntz Avenue in Manhattan at 11:00 AM.

Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church, Manhattan, KS. Contributions may be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
