Judy Anderson

Judy Anderson Judy Anderson, age 64, passed away Friday September 14, 2018 at Via Christi Hospital, Manhattan, Kansas.

Judy was born August 18, 1954 in Marysville, Kansas the daughter of William and Elsie Mae Livingston. Judy attended Manhattan High School. She graduated with the class of 1972. She married Tim Anderson, they had a son, TJ Anderson, they later divorced but remained close friends.

Judy worked for Park Place Apartments as the office manager prior to owning her own businesses. She and her husband Brian Magnuson own and operate Rose Muffler House as well as Tobacco Alley with her son and daughter in law. Through their commitment to their businesses and the community they have met many wonderful people and established lasting friendships. Judy had always considered her friends like the family she was able to choose.

Judy was a big fan of the KC Royals, K-State and the KC Chiefs. She loved her dogs and would dress them in fan gear. Many clients that frequented her businesses would be welcomed by her pups. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. She loved coming up with new outdoor games to play with family and friends. Above all, she loved being with her family, especially her grandkids. Gran, as Judy was called by her grandkids made sure to attend all sporting events that her grandson, Gage was involved in, she was his biggest fan. Before Taya was born Gran asked that she be the one to take her to get her ears pierced, when Taya was 9 months old Gran took her to do just that.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Magnuson of Manhattan, KS; her son: TJ Anderson and his wife Jessica of Saint George, KS; her grandchildren: Gage and Taya, Tim and his wife Cathy Anderson, along with other family members and many friends.

A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be from noon until 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Little Grill 6625 Dyer Road, Manhattan, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Purple Power Animal Welfare Society in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
