Ralph O. Davies

Ralph O. Davies Ralph O. Davies, age 90, died on Friday August 31, 2018 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City.

He was born on January 10, 1928 in Kansas City, the son of John and Ermaine (Setley) Davies. He served our country with the US Air Force during WWII & earned the rank of Corporal. Ralph was a supply specialist for Federal Civil Service at Fort Riley for over 30 years.

Ralph was united in marriage to Grace A. (Littlefield) Dailey on June 4, 1966 in Manhattan. Grace’s children; John “Jack”, James, Joseph and Joan completed their family.

He was the secretary of the Manhattan Men’s Bowling Association for 20 years, member of the Stagg Hill Golf Club, Elks member, VFW Post 1786 and the American Legion Post 17. He was well known as a very thoughtful and caring man.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Grace in 2016 and a son: Joseph R. Dailey.

Survivors include his children: John M. “Jack” Dailey of St. George, KS, James M. Dailey of Tampa, FL and Joan K. Channel of Manhattan, Kansas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 8 great-greatgrandchildren and his brother: Robert E. Davies of Portland, OR.

Private inurnment of the ashes will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Manhattan VFW Post 1786 in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
