Beverly Wasinger

Beverly Wasinger Beverly Wasinger, age 81, of Manhattan, died Saturday June 2, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wamego.

She was born on August 13, 1936, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Sauer) Wasinger. She grew up in Wichita and at the age of 10 her family moved to Garden City. She graduated from Garden City High School with the class of 1954. She then attended Garden City Community College.

Beverly worked for Sears in Wichita for over 30 years in management. She also worked as a para in the Haysville School District. Beverly enjoyed being around people and involved in activities. When she was younger Beverly played sports of all kinds. She loved to play softball and to bowl. Also she enjoyed having a pet cat with her over the years.

She moved to Manhattan in 2002. Beverly was a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manhattan.

Surviving Beverley are her siblings: Norma Butler (Pat) of Manhattan, Bernie Wasinger (Sandy) of Kingman, Arizona, and Richard Wasinger (Debi) of Wichita; her seven nieces and nephews, and also her many great nieces and nephews and 3 great-great nieces and nephews, and many other family members.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 23, 2018 at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manhattan, with Father Frank Coady as Celebrant.

The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday June 23 at 8:30 a.m. until service time.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday June 25, 2018 in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Good Samaritan Society-Wamego or the St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Contributions may be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
