Annabeth Strifler

Annabeth Strifler F. Annabeth Strifler, age 88, of Fostoria, died April 9, 2018, at the Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.

She was born May 22, 1929, in Manhattan, the daughter of Alfred and Florence (Wonnell) Eversmeier. She graduated from Fostoria High School in 1947.

On May 22, 1947, in Westmoreland, she was married to Bernard L. Strifler.

Annabeth worked as a cosmetologist from 1957 to 1969, then in the office at Blue Valley High School prior to working as an office clerk at McCall Pattern Company.

She was a member of the Fostoria United Methodist Church, HDU, Red Hat Society, and the Club.

Annabeth enjoyed reading, was a master gardener, she enjoyed painting in pastels and charcoals, and kept a diary from her 18th birthday until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband on April 9, 2010; by two sons: Zane and Roy; and by her brother George Eversmeier.

Survivors include her daughter Sara Strifler of Manhattan; one sister Marilyn Frank of Manhattan; four grandsons: Kyle and his wife Kaisha and Kevin Lawrence, Troy Strifler and his wife Whitney and Shaun Strifler; four great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Chance, Brooke (Austyn) and Jordan; and one great-great grandson, Derrick.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 12th, at the Westmoreland United Methodist Church with Reverend David Geisler officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home.
