Robert "Bobby" Taylor

Robert “Bobby” Taylor, age 53, passed away at the Via Christi Village in Manhattan, Kansas on Sunday March 25, 2018 with his family by his side following an extended illness.

He was born on July 8, 1964 in Junction City, Kansas the son of Kenneth C. and Jeanne E. (Hanson) Taylor. Bobby graduated from Junction City High School in 1982 and shortly after he entered into the United States Army. He then furthered his education at Calvary Bible College and Midwest Theological Seminary. Bobby was a Pastor Worship leader and served in many churches in different positions, he had a passion for counseling. Bobby also enjoyed being a bus driver for many years.

Bobby loved playing and teaching piano, the guitar and singing. He showed passion and devotion to his wife and children every day. He was on staff as a Pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in St. George, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents: Roy and Alice “Billie” Hanson.

Survivors include his wife Liz Taylor of the home; 2 daughters: Sarah Taylor of Colorado and Becca Taylor of the home; his sister: Kim Bulin (Taylor) and her husband Jim and their daughter: Jennifer Bulin of Texas. He is also survived by other family members and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday March 31, 2018 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church 308 Lincoln Avenue, St. George, Kansas. Private inurnment of the ashes will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with expenses. They can be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
