Mabel F. Jensen

Mabel F. Jensen Mabel Frances Jensen, age 79, of Manhattan, Kansas, died Friday morning, February 9, 2018, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.

She was born on April 19, 1938, in Manhattan, Kansas the daughter of Francis E. and Delia (Glenn) Older.

On July 16, 1956, in Manhattan, Kansas she was united in marriage to Glenn D. Jensen. They made their home in Manhattan where Mabel was a cook for the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity for 17 years.

Mabel was an avid bowler and was a member of the Manhattan Bowling Association. Other memberships include the Eagles Auxiliary and the VFW Post 1786 Auxiliary, both of Manhattan. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. Above all was her love for family and the companionship of her dog.

She is survived by two daughters: Vickie Day (Lewis), Hayden, CO; and Karen Wille (Jeff), Wamego, KS, and her daughter-in-law: Wendy Jensen of Manhattan. Nine grandchildren: Chris, Chad, Stephanie, Ashly, Lisa, Courtney, Taylor, Tyler and Paige; ten great grandchildren: Breann, Lexie, Rylee, Charlotte, Faith, Gracie, Triston, Anthony, Christopher and Chance and one great-great granddaughter, Annabella.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Glenn, and by her three sons: Jim, Steve and Darrell Jensen.

Cremation is planned with private inurnment to be held at a later date in the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan.
