Louise Hardisty

Louise Hardisty Louise Hardisty, age 85, died on Sunday January 14, 2018 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House, Manhattan, Kansas.

She was born on July 6, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Floyd and Carrie (Smith) Richardson. She was a Harness and Wiring Inspector in the Aerospace Industry until her retirement. She was also a wonderful and caring mother for her daughters: Wesa and Dorothy and her son: William.

Louise loved to travel the country, especially enjoying her many trips to Hawaii. She also loved volunteering whether it was at a Children’s Hospital or at her beloved St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Manhattan, KS where she served in many capacities. She was a devoted Deacon, sang in the choir and helped at the Encore Shop among many other duties. Above all, she loved being with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters: Wesa I. Brantl of Manhattan and Dorothy C. McIntire of Hailey, Idaho; her son: William A. Hardisty of Woodland, CA; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 19, 2018 at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 601 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas with The Very Reverend A. Patrick Funston as Presider.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
