Robert Barclay, age 79, of Manhattan, died February 3, 2017, at his residence.
He was born December 7, 1937, in Manhattan, the son of George Leo and Estella Fay (Coffey) Barclay. Robert graduated from Manhattan High School in 1954.
Robert served in the United States Army with the Green Beret and had served in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge he worked for Viking Manufacturing, and then in maintenance at Kansas State University.
Survivors include two nieces: Cynthia McKechnie of Bonner Springs, KS, and Vicky Drapeau of Buckeye, AZ; and one nephew: Kirk Drapeau of Crawfordsville, FL.
Robert was preceded in death by his brother John “DK” Barclay; three half-brothers: Ray, Ace and David Drapeau; and a sister in infancy.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 10th, at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery southeast of Manhattan.
